Death's Dark Shadow is a sourcepack and adventure book set in and around the village of Kreutzhofen, which lies at the convergence of mountain passes leading to Brettonia and the Border Princes.

The book includes a gazetteer of Kreutzhofen, which includes maps and information on all the inhabitants. It also details the village's relations with its neighbors and the Empire, as well as local law and order, trade and commerce, and local customs and holidays.
